An artist of the Chosen Few
If you aren’t familiar with SINCANVAS, then just take yourself for a walk through SE Portland and you soon will be, for in addition to his studio work and gallery showings, he’s also known for his street art. One of his most used hashtags is vandal art and it’s very clear why, for if you just look around you, you’ll discover a treasure trove of his handiwork throughout south-east Portland.
Oh and you’d best be following him on Instagram @sincanvas, as he’s been known to initiate a game of finders keepers on occasion, by posting a photo of one of his pieces along with a slightly obscure description of where to find it on the streets of Portland. – Happy Hunting.
“Ours is a language of slavery. We are binded by walls of words. Our questions can never be answered truthfully in this manner. I lean towards visually communicating with my audience. I take them on an honest voyage—a trip with a man at odds with the world he feels trapped in. I take from everything that surrounds me visually and internally (people, emotions, time) and turn it into revolution. The antichrist is not a person. I believe it is a shift in ideals and consciousness—a needed change that I help to usher. This world has been designed around lies. True evil puppets the ideals of today. Mine are the hands of the Devil. I seek to empower and burn my mark on this world” – SINCANVAS
