Artists Bio
My current work explores the struggle to find a new way forward amidst difficulty and change. How do old structures and systems make way for the new? What metaphors and symbols does the artist create to reveal the process of change and transition? It might be premature to apply the word hindsight to our times as there is much more to be revealed. My work asks more questions about the quest for balance and goodness amidst the transitions of change than it reveals answers.
My painting is intuitive and experimental in nature. My process involves a relationship with paint and the painting itself. It’s through the act of painting that I find the essence of my idea. My work is connected to representation and the world of reality but is not bound by it, reality being a point of departure.
