We are so thrilled to announce that one of our Artists on Rotation, W.S.Cranmore, has officially joined the gallery crew!
Since W.S Cranmore (you can call him SKot) joined the rotation program in March, he made it very clear to us that his dream to be the owner of his own gallery, and I am honoured that he has come to us to begin that journey and engage in the behind the scenes world of an art gallery.
From the off, SKot has consistently gone above and beyond with the promotion of not only his own work at the gallery but with all our Artists on Rotation. He has quickly become an integral part of the Ford Art Gallery and we have enjoyed his assistance and advice as we hung the last rotation. Currently he is busy working on cross promotions with our surrounding local businesses and as our relationship has grown, I finally relinquished some control and handed over the social media password and with his keen eye for photography has already posted some super images and a video of the current rotation.
An Introduction to W.S.Cranmore
You will find the works of W.S.Cranmore in galleries, cafes, hotels, and city halls. They have been used for album covers, featured in online and published art magazines, and more.
He’s rooted here in Milwaukie yet his works are in collections around the world, including that of musician Elvis Costello!
“I am happy to say that “Our Lady Of The Signal” will now hang on my wall and I will share my day with the work of W.S. Cranmore.” – Elvis Costello, singer/songwriter.
I believe there is a voice in each of us that goes unheard. That voice is our true self. As I create, I clear my head of noise and clutter and allow that voice to guide the creative process. I tune in to images, memories, and sounds from the subconscious, I listen to the story being told and work to bring it out on to canvas. Through this process of self-connection, I feel my work is an honest representation of who I am – W.S.Cranmore.
